REGIONAL MEET INFORMATION SHEET

The Regional Championships will be held at:

 Mayde Creek High School on March 8, 2008.

1.      If you have a lifter that is qualified in two weight classes, you must declare a weight class by 4:00 p.m. on Monday February 25, 2008.  I will update the standings Sunday February 24, 2008 and have them posted on the web site.  If I do not receive notification by the above stated date, the lifter will be bumped into the heavier weight class.  If you already know where you are going to declare your lifters, please let me know ASAP.

2.     If a lifter cannot compete for any reason, contact me immediately.  That way, another lifter can move up in the standings.  After 4:00 p.m. Monday, 25th, you will be responsible for the entry fee for you lifters, whether they compete or not.  Failure to assume this responsibility will result in disqualification of your team from the Regional Competition.

  1. Check the totals for each of your lifters to be sure that they are correct.  Also check the totals of the other lifters in the weight class to make sure no one has been overlooked.  If there are any mistakes, contact me as soon as possible.
  1. All lifters must compete in proper uniform. If you have questions, check the Rules and By-Laws on the web site.  thspa.org

5.    Any school that has not paid their dues by February 5th will have to pay a $200.00 fine or have their lifters disqualified from lifting at the Regional Meet.

6.    Receipts for the regional meet will be in your packet

  1. Things to bring:

A.   Entry Fee - $25.00 per lifter

B.   Make checks payable to Mayde Creek ABC

C.   Eligibility list from the Rules and By-Laws on the web-site signed by your Principal or Superintendent

D.   Scholarship Applications

E.    If you are bring $ for alternates put it on a separate check.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE.

  1. We will have a concession stand.. They will have a $5.00 meal deal. That is all set up with them.
  1. We will have T-shirts on sale for  $10.00 / $15 XXL / XXXL
  1. Weigh In / Packet pickup will be conducted from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7th and 5:30 to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday March 8th.
  1. The State Meet information is on the website
  1. Entry Fee for the State Meet is $25.00 per lifter.
  1. Please check the web site throughout the week to check for changes. There are always lifters dropping out and I cannot always contact the coach. I will update the web site immediately and you can find the changes much quicker this way.

Regional Format:

  1. We will try to begin lifting as close to 8:00 a.m. as possible.
